Hi, I'm Melissa.
I'm Melissa Clark, an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and Certified Master Equine Gestaltist. I support individuals and couples who want real change in their relationships—and in how they feel inside themselves.
I practice Gestalt therapy which is an experiential, present-focused approach that helps you become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns so you can make more authentic, aligned choices. It emphasizes personal responsibility and uses real-time awareness to support lasting change and deeper connection to yourself and others.
My work blends grounded clinical training with experiential, non-diagnostic, somatic approaches. Horses can be powerful healing partners—and they're optional. We can also meet in nature or work together virtually. Nature therapy invites you to slow down, reconnect, and heal in the presence of the natural world—finding clarity, regulation, and a deeper sense of wholeness in spaces that ask nothing of you.

Trauma-informed, consent-based, experiential work that supports emotional safety and real-life integration.
Colorado-based (Denver metro + mountain communities) with virtual sessions anywhere.
Why horses?
Horses bring a nonjudgmental, authentic presence that can help you feel deeply seen, heard, and felt. They often notice subtle shifts in energy and emotion that humans miss—which can open new doors for healing.
If horses aren't a fit for you (allergies, fear, or preference), we can do Gestalt-only sessions without them.
